Sennefer was mayor of Thebes during the reign of Amenhotep II. He may not have been buried here, but this may have been good news in his case, if he was held in such favor that he was buried in the Valley of the Kings.

It's a ways down.

The rock of the ceiling could not be smoothed. Leaving it rough, the tomb's designers capitalized on the irregular surface and painted grape vines on it.

The room has several massive piers, decorated but now covered with protective glass. Here, behind a sheet of it, Sennefer smells a lotus flower, while his wife Meryt offers cloth.
