Home UpAjaigar 1

Ajaigar is a small town in northern Panna District. It draws only a few visitors, almost solely to the ruins of its hilltop fortress.

The road north from Panna to Ajaigarh drops off the northern lip of the Rewa Plateau, forming here the Panna Range.

The topography may not look very rugged, but the road has a half-dozen hairpin curves.

Down below, the earth fattens with the approach of the Ganges lowlands.
